He is the first Black male representative to become a member of the prestigious Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Has 7 trips to the Oscars with creatives of color yielding 3 wins. Doherty brings veteran development, production, and financing expertise to Artistry Collective with the goal of producing thought provoking and commercial films and television in a filmmaker friendly environment.
Prior to launching The Doherty Company in 2018, John worked under President Brian Oliver, running development for Cross Creek Pictures during which the team produced 15 films including Black Swan, The Ides of March, The Woman and Black, Black Mass, Everest, American Made, Hacksaw Ridge and Roman J. Israel.
Doherty started his career working under producer JC Spink at Benderspink and then moved to the Motion Picture Talent Department at the William Morris Endeavor Agency. He transitioned over to Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions where he assisted on the development and production of Sandler’s films Just Go With It, Jack and Jill and That's My Boy.

Marvin Peart is CEO of Brookdale Studios and 101 Studios Company co-founder/Chief Business Officer and film producer. Marvin co-founded the independent film, TV, music, theatre, financing, and production outfit, Marro Media Company (“Marro”), Before that, Peart had a ten-year run as Sony Music Entertainment’s EVP/Head of A&R in New York. During his tenure at Sony, he managed both the New York and Los Angeles offices, and oversaw projects for some of the world’s most influential recording artists, including Michael Jackson, Macy Gray, Mariah Carey, and Beyonce Knowles (Destiny’s Child).
Marvin (with Marro) entered the film business as the producer and financier of the successful animated feature “Escape from Planet Earth”, grossing over $100M in worldwide box office. He followed up on this success with the box-office-topping live action feature family comedy “The War with Grandpa” that debuted at #1, starring Robert De Niro and Christopher Walken, which also had a significant over-index on home entertainment and made over $40.7M in box office during a year of Covid. In other accomplishments, in 2018 when The Weinstein Company plunged into chaos and bankruptcy, He assembled and led a group of financiers who made a bid for the assets. Under his guidance, the group was ultimately awarded the company with an offer of $389M, the company has since been rebranded Spy Glass Entertainment. Peart also sourced and structured a key early round investment in 101 Studios Company and remains on its board of directors.
With his experience from Film making to Finance, Peart will be placing Brookdale Studios in the best position to succeed whilst elevating Brookdale into an industry force.

The former CAA and digital industry executive leads business development for top AI technology platforms, artists, brands and production companies. Carla has a diverse background that spans multiple disciplines from government to supply chain to consumer marketing.
